I am a textile designer born in Bogota, Colombia. I graduated from the University of the Andes in Bogota and I am currently pursuing an M.A. in Fibers at Savannah College of Art and Design. My main interests are textiles surfaces and how can these be transformed to create different perceptions. My designs are playful, contemporary, colorful, and sophisticated. They involve different processes in order to achieve their particular quality including screen printing, digital printing and hand painting. My work is inspired mainly by the amazing array of nature that surrounded me when I lived in Colombia, as well as travel experiences and my own culture. I am very interested in the way patterns can bring life to a surface and happiness to someone’s life.
The designs are mainly developed for the fashion market including womenswear and kids wear as well as wallpaper designs and home interior. I am also available for commission designs including special lines for fashion and stationery companies and screen printing services on paper and fabric surfaces.
